    Chinalco Head Met Queensland Delegation Headed by Governor

    Chairman and chief executive officer of Chinalco Xiao Yaqing held a meeting with the Australian delegation headed by Anna Bligh, governor of Queensland.

    Mr. Xiao expressed their gratitude for the government’s support in Chinalco’s investment in Queensland, noting Chinalco will promote their project on schedule under the laws and principles of government, as well as efficiency in environment. The project will add taxes to the government together with increasing jobs for the local. And Chinalco will seek for profound investment and development in Australia to expand its industry chain.

    Anna Bligh said she is pleased with the partnership between Queensland and Chinalco, the government will continue its support for the company, as Chinalco has power in long-term developing in Queensland.

    The accompanying officers are Luo Jianchuan, executive director and president of Chinalco; Zhang Chengzhong, Deputy general manager of Chalco; Xie Hong, president assistant of Chinalco; Foreign Affair Office of Chalco, administration office of Chinalco’s Board of directors, Ministry of Overseas Development, Overseas holding Inc. of Chalco also took part in the meeting.
