Chalco Head Xiao Yaqing Met McKinsey Delegation

Xiao Yaqing, general manager, chairman and chief executive officer of Chalco, met the delegation headed by Ian Davis, chairman and president McKinsey &Co, at the company’s headquater.
They exchanged their opinions on a wide range of issues such as the outlook of Chinese economy and that in the world, American subprime mortgage crisis, nonferrous metals markets as well as mining integrations.
Mr. Xiao noted that resources are vital to economy, they are mutual supplements to each other, Chinese enterprises take part in the international competition is not just for their growth but to promote the global economy, and Chalco needs help from the global leading consultative companies such as McKinsey.
Ian Davis praised Chalco’s buying into Rio with Alcoa as seized up the situation, noting they would be glad to assist in Chalco’s strategic development. Source:
