Small Size Alumina Factory in Henan Switch to Aluminium Hydroxide

(China Aluminum Network) According to investigation owing to the decline in alumina price and squeezed profits some small size alumina factories has turned their alumina production line into the production of aluminium hydroxide gradually, since aluminium hydroxide with more stable price.

In this month price of alumina not from Chinalco kept at 2,680-2,750 yuan/ton, compared with September decreased nearly 200 yuan/ton in Henan Province. While Chinalco also reduced their price from 3,000 yuna/ton to 2,800 yuan/ton. On the other side, price of aluminium hydroxide kept stable about 1,800-1,850 yuan/ton in Henan Province.

According to research the productive technology for aluminium hydroxide and alumina basically the same and just difference in alumina process segment. The similar productive technology also provide conditions for the transformation.
