(China Aluminum Network) In the past 50 years, aluminum has been one of the most widely used metals, such as building industry, aviation, electric power transmission, automobile making, domestic appliance and mechanical equipments all need large quantity of aluminum.
With the rapid growth of national economy China has been the Global Processing Base and the soared electrolytic aluminium output in recent years boost China to be the world largest aluminum producing country.
At the same time, China plays an vital role in global aluminum market with increasing demand. But China still has some uncertainties in primary aluminum supply mainly owing to the tight alumina and partly because of the power shortage.
Apart from tight alumina and power shortage, the government already took effective measures to control some of the existing over hot electrolytic aluminium industry. While no matter alumina supply or power shortage will cause limited impact on China aluminum production.
