Chalco was approved to expand alumina producing capacity in Guangxi

According to state resource Commission, Chalco¡¯s project of 800thousand tons alumina in Xing County was approved by state Development and Reform Commission.

It is said that Xing County, Luliang City, Shanxi is rich in minerals resources, it boasts 4.76 billion tons of coal resource, 0.13 billion tons of thorite resource, and 0.441 billion tons of limestone resource. it has the advantage of developing alumina. In order to further improve the supply capacity, the development of old revolutionary districts like Taihang Mountain, Chalco takes advantage of the rich aluminum thorite resource in Xingxian, Shanxi, investing to establish alumina project.
