Increase in Raw Aluminum Import, Decrease in Aluminum Export

According to news from Beijing on March 24, the data released by the
China customs administration on Monday shows, in February, 2008
the Chinese raw aluminum exportation drops 89.9%, the raw aluminum imports grow
197.7%.
The customs announces, China altogether imports fine copper smeltings 1.36,243
million tons, a drop of 8.3% compared to last year.
China is the biggest copper consuming country in the world, it needs approximately 25%copper of total global demand. China's copper production output also accounts for 20% of the global output, second only to Chile.
