China Ranked the First in the World for Five Years Consecutively

In 2006, nonferrous metals output is 19.1701 million tons, increases by 17.48% over 2005, and has ranked the first place in the world for five years consecutively. This is from today's "China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association the second meeting of the Governing Council".
According to the introduction of China Nonferrous Metal Industry Association President Kang Yi on the meeting, China's nonferrous metals output in 2006 created a new record, among of which, 2.9989 million tons of copper, 9.349 million tons of electrolytic aluminum, lead 2.7355 million tons, 3.153 million tons of zinc, 107,700 tons of nickel, 138,100 tons of tin, antimony 150,100 tons, 524,200 tons of magnesium and 13,300 tons of titanium. Except nickel, the yield of first eight all rank first in the world.
2006 is a year that China's nonferrous metals industry has best economical benefits. Driven by the high prices of non-ferrous metals, large-scale non-ferrous metals industry enterprises realized profits of 163.07 billion Yuan, increase by 87.47% over last year. The profit is 110.03 billion Yuan, doubled over the previous year.
