Guangxi to Create Ecological Aluminium Base

[China Aluminum Network] Recently, implementation plan of Guangxi Baise ecological aluminium base has been approved by National Development and Reform Commission. It marked a building boom of the Baise Aluminium project.

Baise has a bauxite reserve of more than 1billion tons, which takes up 50% of China’s total reserve. According to this implementation plan, Baise ecological aluminium base is to realize 8million tons aluminia, 2million tons liquid aluminum, 2million tons deep-processing aluminum and 100billion RMB total industrial output till 2015. The plan also made request to the aluminum base’s ecological indexes, including comprehensive energy consumption of aluminia, power consumption of electrolytic aluminum, utilization ratio of ash, reclamation ratio of land and mine, etc.
