Aluminum Decline in Export

[China Aluminum Network] September 26, according to China Customs that China aluminum export volume reaches 270 thousand tons in August, increase 31.8% YOY, aluminum profiles export 77 thousand tons, increase 9.3% YOY, aluminum plate and aluminum srtip export 128.8 thousand tons, increase 54.57% YOY.

From the view of month-on-month, aluminum export decrease 40 thousand tons compared to July, fall 12.9% month-on-month. And, aluminum profiles decrease 29.8 thousand tons, aluminum foil keeps stable with July. ¡¡¡¡

There are main three reasons cause decline in export, the first one is ratio of Shanghai price and London price keeps around at 7.5 all the time, this leads to decline in profits for domestic aluminum exporters. The second one is debt crisis in Europe and America leads to Europe and America economic growth slow down, and domestic consumption needs descend. The third one is due to the saying that export rebates will cut, aluminum export volume sharply increase in early days, and decline in August was just normal regression in export market.
