Chinese aluminum alloy export in July up by 12pct YoY

China’s aluminum alloy ingot export to Japan in July was 31,395 tonnes up by 48.5% from June and up by 12% YoY.

The export rose because Japan’s demand has significantly recovered after earthquake disaster as well as some of June delivery postponed to July.

However, the market analyst said that the export in August was very likely to slide because most of Japanese buyers have finished material purchasing in June and July. The export to Japan accounted for 48.9% of China’s total export of 64,161 tonnes.
