2007 China Aluminium Consumption Reaches 11.12m Tons

Shanghai--According to the news from Shanghai on February 28th, the estimated data that was released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Thursday shows that China's aluminum consumption in 2007 reached 11.12 million tons,with a year-on-year increase of 27.6%. The consumption quantity of refined copper in 2007 was 3.99 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 13%.

According to the date provided by the State Development and Reform Commission in January 2007,China's aluminum consumption in 2006 was estimated to 8.5 million tons,with an year-on-year increase of 20% and the copper consumption in 2006 was estimated to 3.4 million tons, with a year-on-year decline of 7%.
