MIIT Continues to Implement the National Aluminum Industry Policy

[China Aluminum Network] August 5, MIIT announces that it will continue to carry out our national aluminum industry policy and strictly control aluminum production capacity as well as promoting energy-efficient technological transformation of electrolytic aluminum. It will endeavor to realize the goal of direct current consumption12, 500 KWH/ ton for our domestic electrolytic aluminum enterprises by 2011.

 MIITclaims that Chinese electrolytic aluminum output of the first half year reaches 8,690,000 tons up by 4.4% in the corresponding period last year. However, compared with the annual increasing rate 15.7% of the eleventh five-year, the condition is not so optimistic.
