Aluminum Smelting Enterprises win 5.2 billion Yuan from January to May

[China Aluminum Network] August 4, The Department of Public Letter announced Wednesday about the operational aspect for electrolytic aluminum in the first half year. Electrolytic aluminum price continually runs in low level plus the rising cost, aluminum smelting enterprises win 5.2 billion profit declining by 23.6% in the corresponding period previous year.

The Department of Public Letter indicates that with the re-operation of the primary aluminum enterprises and the steady release of new production capacity, electrolytic aluminum output moves in ascending trend. Domestic demand and supply for primary aluminum appears more coordinate driven by exportation of downstream aluminum proceeding materials.

Department of Public Letter estimates that the gross output of electrolytic aluminum and alumina would reach 18 million tons and 33 million tons with increasing rate of 13% and 15.5% respectively. Since aluminum processing profiles arriving at its consumption season, the third quarter output would be more than the previous tow quarters; the annual production output should be 2,300 to 2,500 tons.
