Standard Charted Bank: Chinese Aluminum Smelting Business Will Enlarge Production Capacity

[China Aluminum Network] August 3, News from Beijing August 2, Standard Charted Bank in one report Tuesday declares that despite aluminum price keeps rising currently, the second half year would probably seen aluminum price decline due to Chinese smelters enlarge their production capacity.
Standard Charted Bank cites from CRUGroup’s estimation to show that China would increase 1.5 million tons of production capacity in the future and 0.6 million has been come into use currently.
CRUGroup estimates that by the year 2012, 2 million tons of new production capacity would come into operation and the annual production capacity would reach 23 million tons which should should rise to a historical new high.
