China Alumina Price up by 7-9% since June

[China Aluminum Network] August 3, messages from Hong Kong show that Chinese alumina price since this June increases by 7%-9%. Traders and analysts estimated that alumina price in the second half year will continue boosting because of speculation influence.

China is the largest aluminum production country with constantly improving its products quality. Analyst of Goldry futures Yang Xiaoguang indicated that” alumina price may rising gradually in the second half year”. The domestic spot alumina price is 2,750—2,900 Yuan/Ton higher than 2,550—2,650 in the beginning of June. Owing to stable market demand and speculative activities, aluminum price last week soaring by 3% which is the largest increase since February, 2010.

Yang Xiaoguang indicates that nearly 1million tons of primary aluminum would put into practice during the second half year and the demand for alumina would almost rise by 2 milion.
