Copper and Aluminum Price Raising, Air conditioner Sales Grow

[China Aluminum Network] July 25, According to the China National Household Electronic Appliances Service&Maintance Association, since this June, our air conditioner’s sale is on the rapid growth with 4,000 pieces in the first half year. It has increased by 60.77%. With an amount of 1.512 pieces compared to the correspondent period last year. Mainly owing to the raw material’s rising price and a sharp increase in labor cost, it is no doubt that the air conditioner’s price should rise.

Depends on the information issued from the Development and Reform Commission on June24th , the price of electrolytic aluminum and copper has increased by 9.7% and 24.1% respectively. Air conditioner’s main raw materials including steel plate, aluminum, sheet, copper, refrigerant etc have all increased in which copper accounts for more than 26% of the total costs. Many costs have rising sharply covering the auxiliary materials of copper tube and stand, the parts and accessory and freezing medium used in maintenance, the operating cost in high temperature and high places as well as the transportation cost for door-to-door service and labor cost. As it is known that air-conditioner’s of the foreign brand have gone up in an all round way with a grow rate of 18%. Since April, the major brand air-conditioner and air conditioning ark's price in china have risen year on year by 10%-14% and 2%-4% separately. 

Evidences from the China National Household Electronic Appliances Service&Maintance Association shows that during July to September, air conditioner’s sales would keep increase at the rate of 30%. And the total sales amount is estimated to reach about 20 million with the promotion of the policy “household electronic appliance going to the countryside”.
