    Tajikistan Aluminum Industry Output reached to 150,467 tons in the first half year

    A person said in Tuesday that the output of the Tajikistan state-owned aluminum smelter dropped 16.7% in the first half year, for it conducted a series of maintenance for obsolete equipment.
    This people said that TALCO has produced 150,467 tons primary aluminium in the first half year. The output in the same period last year was 180,610 tons.
    In June, the output dropped to 18,409 tons, decreased 14.8% compared with last month, and declined 37.2% compared with the same period last year.
    This people also revealed that about quarter equipments have stopped working, some of them was planned to be upgraded, while others will be under temporary maintenance because of technical failure.
    TALCO lowered his 2011 primary aluminum annual production to 310,000 tons in this May, which below the early estimated 377,600 tons and also below the 2010 annual production 348,850 tons.
    Aluminum accounts for about 60% of Tajikistan export revenues.
