Chalco's Aluminum Output Dips 1.4 Pct in Jan.

The aluminum output of China's top aluminum producer Aluminum Corp of China (Chalco, ACH.NYSE; 2600.HK; 601600.SH) slipped 1.4 percent to 863,000 tons in January, said an official from Chalco on Thursday.

Part of the company's aluminum production capacity was interrupted in south China due to electricity blackouts caused by heavy snow and unusually low temperature.

The stock of Chalco concluded at 33.37 yuan, down 1.56 percent on Shanghai Exchange and ended at 14.94 H.K. dollars, gaining 5.36 percent or 0.76 H.K. dollars on Hong Kong Exchange.
