(China Aluminum Network) June 16,auto consumption remains weak on market has affected aluminum alloy ingot market and shows gloomy.
China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) issued production and marketing data on June 15, the data shows auto production and marketing remains sluggish in May, production and marketing amount was 1348.9 and 1382.8 thousand respectively.
Auto industry is the largest downstream consumption field in aluminum alloy ingot, occupied more than 50% in aluminum alloy consumption. It is reported that each car uses 127.5kg aluminum, in which casting aluminum alloy occupied more than 70%. The decrease of auto consumption will undoubtedly make great impact on aluminum alloy ingot market.
Auto consumption decrease is the dominant reason. Affected by deletion of preferential policies and Japanese earthquake, this year’s auto consumption growing range is far from that of last year. Thus, there is great shipment pressure in some aluminum enterprises of Eastern and Southern part of China, most of them couldn’t meet full capacity.
With the arrival of summer which is the dull season of auto consumption. But at present, aluminum alloy ingot enterprises still make positive response and ready to fight this downturn.
