    Delegation led by Yang Chongyong Visited Canada and Alcoa

    At the invitation of British Columbia provincial government, Canada and Alcoa, provincial party committee member, vice-governor Yang Chongyong led Hebei province economic project delegation to visit Canada and America.


     


    In Canada, Yang Chongyong and the delegation visited three coking coal source developing projects of Kailuan Group in British Columbia province, and discussed with the provincial government and relevant department about environmental and transportation issue, etc, and got support by them. The two parties have achieved mutual agreement on forestry, education, tourism, finance, investment and trade, etc.


     


    In America, Yang Chongyong and the delegation discussed with relevant principles about capacity transferring to Qinhuangdao and investment expanding of Alcoa, polysilicon project of Starwood Group in Zhuozhou, PVC tunnel project of JM group in Langfang, high-tech center project. They have also visited Alcoa and JM Group. Alcoa agreed to transfer some capacity to Qinhuangdao, and wished to cooperate with Hebei Province in motor car, auto parts industry, etc. Starwood Group was willing to cooperate with Hebei Province, and co-invested new energy industrial center.


     


    Besides, delegation has also held meeting in L.A and Vancouver to attract Chinese merchant to invest in Hebei.
