Ministry of Commerce: Aluminum price still has a slight increase

(China Aluminum Network) April 21, China Ministry of Commerce reported that aluminum price rose slightly due to downstream demand increase and rising power cost.Last week domestic A00 aluminum price rose by 0.1% compared with the previous week.

In Spring, consumption from downstream aluminum processing industry is rising, but inventories keep decline. On April 15, aluminum stock was 400,000 tons on Shanghai Futures Exchange, which was 1.9% lower than the previous week, 2.7% lower than the beginning of April. Besides China 16 provinces raised power price by 1.2 fen per degree, and aluminum smelting cost grew. It is expected aluminum price in future may still has a slight increase.
