(China Aluminium Network)March 29, Xiong Weiping, GM of Chinalco paid a visit to Laos with his delegate team. Xiong Weiping met Tong Xing, GM of Laos, Xin Nafeng, Minister of Laos Planning and Investment and Su Lifeng, Minister of Laos Energy and Mines.
Xiong Weiping introduced Chinalco development strategy and development prospect in Laos. Xiong Weiping pointed out Chinalco had nailed down the object to build the world’s first-class mining company. Chinalco has ranked among Fortune 500 for three consecutive year. Xiong Weiping hoped to establish long-term cooperation with Laos, under the principle of complementary advantages, mutual benefit and win-win. He expected to cooperate with Laos to cultivate Laos southern mineral resources and devote efforts for local development.
During the visit to Laos, the wholly subsidiary company of Chinalco --Aluminum Corporation of China Hong Kong Limited signed contract with Laos Service Co.,Ltd. On March 30, the joint Venture Agreement was held in Vientiane, capital of Laos. As per the agreement, Chinalco Hoongkong Limited entered into Laos Service Company by increasing shares to develop Laos Southern mineral resources.
