    Henan to eliminate backward capacity of electrolytic aluminium and other 14 industries

    Henan,(China Aluminium Network)April 1, Henan’s plan to eliminate backward production capacity has been nailed down and submitted to Ministry of Industry and Information to approve. About 158 enterprises from 15 industries will eliminate backward capacity.


    The backward capacity includes 810,000 kwh power capacity, 1,184,800 tons backward production capacity of cast iron, 2,271,000 tons of steel smelting, 569,400 tons of nonferrous metals, 30,500 tons of electrolytic aluminum, 111,000 tons of iron alloy, 2,100,000 tons of coke coal, 9,650,000 tons of cement, 8,647,000 tons of glass, 1,928,900 tons of paper making, 126,000 tons of alcohol, 160,000 tons of chemical engineering and 4,100 standard sheets of leather, etc.


    Public data showed that Henan province is China’s big aluminium province, whose electrolytic aluminum output ranks first in China, accounting for 23%. Henan Development and Reform Commission had defined in 2010 that they wouldn't applove new construction or electrolytic aluminum projects expansion in 3 years.
