Southwest Aluminium completes the first production of NbTi superconducting materials

(China Aluminium Network) Recently Southwest Aluminium of Chinalco finished the first Nb-Ti superconducting materials production this year. Nb-Ti superconducting materialsis a new kind of materials which is trial produced by Southwest Aluminium branch of Chinalco entrusted by Western Superconductor Corporation. The materials require high performance with big cost and difficult production. With joint efforts of the company staff, Nb-Ti superconducting materials were finished within 3 days and indicators have reached customers’ technological requirement.
