    the demand of aluminum in Japan architecture industry in 2007 declined by 0.4%

       TOKYO, March 19:last Friday, Japanese manufacturers association expected that the demand of aluminum and alloy in japan architecture industry would decline by 0.4% to 450,000 tons.


    Among them, the use of aluminum in household and architecture industry occupied 291,000 tons, while other occupied 159,000 tons. The push doors are expected to decline by 1.0%, while the doors and other products are expected to increase by 0.7%.


    The association said the strong development momentum in Japanese economy could promote the establishment of new properties. But there were still some negative factors such as, higher rate, gradually rising housing price and construction costs. It was expected that in 2007 there will be 1.28 million homes, a decline of 0.8% compared to the last year. Non-home construction was expected to decline by 0.8% to123, 600 sq km.


    The building material accounted for 28.8% of the total aluminum products in 2006. Five years ago, it accounted for 32.7%. The association said that because of its super-insulating in nature, aluminum push doors are popular in cold countries. He also showed that the new residential windows were smaller, resulting in the decline of aluminum consumption.
