Robust demand drives alumina price up

International alumina price keeps buoyant due to strike threatens from Guinea and declining of alumina output of Alcoa. Nalco’s latest tender price rose to 432.32 dollars per ton from 403.79 dollars per ton a month ago. Nalco’s alumina price serves as the benchmark of international alumina price. After that, domestic Non-Chalco alumina price rose to 4500 yuan per ton, too.

Some analyst believed non-Chalco enterprises raise alumina price to keep in line with market value. The rising costs of imported alumina drives alumina price up directly.
