Nonferrous Metals Industry in Henan Province Grow stably

(China Aluminium Network) February 23, It was reported from Henan Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, Henan province realized steady growth of nonferrous metals industry in 2010 amid the hardship of export block, overcapacity, price fluctuation.
According to statistics, total output of ten kinds of nonferrous metals reached 5,167,000 tons in 2010 in Henan province, including copper, aluminium, lead, zinc, etc. Major business income of nonferrous metals touched 379.06 billion yuan with an increase of 33.6%, which accounted for 10.51% of Henan province’s total income. Henan nonferrous metals industry achieved profit of 27.26 billion yuan with an increase of 55.6%.
Following industrial transfer and significant effect of energy-saving and emission reduction, a large number of domestic and foreign famous companies transfer their deep-processing project to Henan province. In 2010 new project investment in Henan province exceeded 500 billion Yuan. Meanwhile unit energy consumption of major products has been reduced sharply.
