MII: 2010 Nonferrous Metals First Up then Down, Run high

(China Aluminum Network)January 10, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology disclosed that 2010 domestic copper futures stood at 53,000-63,000 Yuan per ton in the previous period. Affected by European debt crisis, Mid-April price slipped sharply. At the beginning of June, 3-month copper futures was down to year low 49,470 Yuan per ton, and then recovered. On December 31, 3-month copper futures closed at 72,380 Yuan per ton, which created a new high during the year and increased 12,360 Yuan over the previous year.
In January Aluminum, Zinc 3-month Futures respectively reached the highest close price 18,260Yuan per ton and 21,740 Yuan per ton during the year, but then dropped. In June, Aluminum, Zinc 3-month Futures respectively slipped to the year lowest 14,080Yuan per ton and 13,810Yuan per ton. On December 31, Aluminum and Zinc 3-month Futures closed respectively at 17,010Yuan per ton and 19,695Yuan per ton, 380Yuan and 1680Yuan lower than the previous year.
At Changjiang Nonferrous Metals, Copper, Aluminum, Lead, Zinc yearly average price respectively stood at 59,067Yuan, 15,713Yuan, 16,148Yuan and 18,022Yuan, up respectively 16,726Yuan, 1,763Yuan, 2,342Yuan and 3,734 Yuan over the previous year.
