Guizhou, Zunyi Factories Close Part Capacity, Chalco's Output Affected

Hongkong -- An official of Guizhou Branch of Chalco said, Guizhou factory has shut down 160,000 tons capacity, which is half of the total capacity, due to sufficient of electricity supply in Guizhou Province.

An official of Zunyi Aluminium said, the company has closed 30% capacity, or 33,000 tons. Zunyi factory has a capacity of 110,000 tons per year.

The partial closure of capacity will cause Chalco's aluminium output sliding down, as the electricity supply is not expected to recover in Quarter 1.
